How does writing about the Arcades Project
equate to blog posts? What is going on with text in the blog? By definition a
blog, like the web itself, is inclusive of intensely short passages, like Twitter,
or infinitely long ones, limited only by space in computer memory, which with tiny memory requirement of plain text could be characterized as infinite. It's almost like the blogging space is a
dialectical image of itself, or reflects that nature of digital text, existing
both at a literally microscopic or atomic (monadic) level at the same time as
it contains the world. Writing through a blog about the Arcades Project highlights the abyss of language Benjamin discusses
in many places, a mis en abyme, mirrors standing face to face.
